Staff Picks: Favorite Ski Jackets of 2012

Posted by WinterWomen on Wednesday, January 25, 2012

The temperatures have dropped below 40, the rain has turned to snow, and your snow tires are finally coming to use. It'd mid-January, and winter is in full swing. At this point in the season, it's not important whether or not you've made it up to go skiing yet (if you're hesitant in these types of conditions, it's 100% okay to stay at home instead of going). What does matter, though, is if you're ready for that big ski weekend with your girlfriends this weekend in Aspen for the X-Games, or your long-awaited family ski vacation to Park City next month.

Regardless of whether or not you plan on skiing, you still want to be equipped with a comfortable, warm, and stylish ski jacket that will keep you warm no matter what activities you choose to do in the mountains. There are so many types of ladies ski jackets out there, it can get complicated when you're shopping for one. Do you base your decision off style, or technology offered? Do you pick a jacket with a color that looks great on your, or a waterproof rating that is sure to keep you dry all day? Regardless of the factors you take into consideration before spending the big bucks on a nice jacket, us women all want the same thing- to be happy with our purchases, especially when it's for something important (the X-Games only come once a year!). We can't tell you which jacket is perfect for you this season, because we don't know exactly what you consider the perfect ski jacket. What we can do, though, is tell you our favorites; and, hopefully spark some style inspiration in you and get you ready to take the plunge with buying a fabulous new ski jacket just for you.

Spyder Posh Faux Fur Jacket (White) This extremely waterproof and breathable ski jacket lets you live up to the posh mountain experience. Wear it with your favorite diamonds, because this is the non-skier ski jacket.
