Ladies (and gentlemen)...It's time to get in shape for winter.That's right--it may still technically be summer, but we're already prepping for ski and snowboard season. Snowcats were on the prowl last week at A-Basin as they formally became the second Colorado ski resort to open for the 2011/2012 season. Lifts became open to the public at 9 a.m. last Thursday, October 13th, but not before a tribute to the late founders of Arapahoe Basin, Marnie Jump and Max Dercum (who helped start the popular Colorado ski destination nearly 70 years ago), took place. ...
