We’ve all been there: forgetting one single item that it turned out we needed most. Like that time you met up with your friends at the beach, and only remembered half of your bikini; got to the gym and only had one sock in your bag; went for a hike and left your shoes by the door; or took a shower at the office and forgot your hairbrush. As cliché as the phrase goes, preparation really is everything.
The Frendly Gathering is a reunion we look forward to all year long. It’s a unique celebration: we’re off-the-grid in rural Vermont, nestled into Timber Ridge mountainside, far from reliable cell service and other indications of modern civilization. That’s what makes it so special. That’s also what makes it so necessary to prioritize preparation, because whatever you forget can’t just be replaced with a quick walk down the street.
So the good times are waiting: yoga, dancing, food trucks, and incredible music. We’re sleeping in tents for a few nights and we’re in Vermont—so as far as the weather goes, pretty much anything can happen.  And since you can’t tell the weatherman what to do, you have to be damn sure you’re ready to make the most of whatever the day offers. Here’s our packing list for Frendly Gathering. Now have as much fun as possible.
- Sleeping pad and a pillow.
- Sunglasses and a good hat.
- Sneakers and sandals. Sometimes it’s nice to switch over to sneaks as the sun goes down. Safety first.
- Rain Jacket and some rain boots, just in case.
- Bug spray
- Wet wipes
- If you skate, bring your skateboard.
- Don’t forget your frends.
